From the clinic to the country: Therapy through play
At Roxy’s House, our mission is to provide animal assisted and nature-based therapy for children and adults with communication differences. We believe that harnessing the human-animal bond is a valuable way to encourage communication, connection, collaboration, and compassion.
We offer therapy through animal connection and nature exploration. Our 11,000-square-foot barn is home to 25 animals who assist in therapy. This includes alpacas, barn cats, potbelly pigs, chickens, and peacocks. Our Therapy Barn is also equipped with swings, hay bales, amtrykes, and a 22-foot pirate ship. Our ranch also includes a trail down to a stream for calming nature walks. We specialize in providing ST and OT to children and adults with autism, traumatic brain injury, and providing literacy based therapy.
Renting the barn for your wedding or private event helps fund Roxy's House therapy services and animal care.
Animal Assisted Therapy and Nature Based Therapy provide a mentally and physically enriching experience through sensory, play, and connection. It is the perfect alternative or additive for those who do not thrive in a traditional therapy setting. Animals can provide a non-judgmental atmosphere where communication skills can grow and thrive.
